Terms, Policies & Client Agreement

Everything that covers how Just Call Jay works, what we promise, and what we ask of you — written in plain English, not legalese.

Last updated: [DATE]  ·  Effective for all bookings made on or after this date.

1. Who we are

Just Call Jay (Just Call Jay LLC, a Nevada limited-liability company, “we,” “us,” or “Jay”) is a home technology help service based in North Las Vegas, Nevada. We provide in-home and remote technical assistance to residents of the Las Vegas valley and Henderson. By booking a visit or subscribing to a membership plan, you (“Client”) agree to these terms in full.

2. Services & scope

What we do

We help with consumer technology in the home: smartphones, tablets, computers, TVs and streaming devices, Wi-Fi and home networking, printers, smart-home devices (Alexa, Google Home, etc.), password and account recovery, scam awareness and basic security, and one-on-one tech lessons.

What we don’t do

We do not perform licensed electrical work, wall-run wiring, or any work that requires a contractor’s license in Nevada. We do not access financial accounts, investment platforms, or online banking on your behalf. Tasks outside our scope will be declined or referred to an appropriate professional.

No guarantee of outcome

We will apply professional skill and care to every job. However, technology problems are sometimes caused by hardware failure, manufacturer defects, software bugs, or third-party services outside our control. We cannot guarantee that every problem will be fully resolved, and we are not responsible for outcomes caused by pre-existing conditions, manufacturer limitations, or factors outside our control.

In-visit add-ons

If a visit uncovers a second problem not in the original booking, we may address it during the same visit at 25% off the standard flat rate for that service — but only when the schedule allows and with your verbal approval first. We will not start add-on work without telling you the price and getting your OK.

3. Pricing & payment

Standard rates

  • Home Tech Visit — $109, up to 90 minutes, any mix of problems.
  • Additional time — $35 per 30-minute increment beyond 90 minutes, billed in 30-minute blocks. We will let you know before additional time starts.
  • New Phone / Device Setup & Data Transfer — $119, budgeted at up to 2 hours on the calendar. The $35/30-min overage rate applies beyond 2 hours.
  • TV & Streaming Setup — $99.
  • Wi-Fi Help — $119.
  • Computer Setup — $129.
  • Senior Tech Lesson — $79, one hour, one-on-one.
  • Travel fee — Free within North Las Vegas, downtown, central and east Las Vegas. +$15 for Summerlin, Spring Valley, Enterprise and west Las Vegas. +$25 for Henderson, Green Valley, Anthem and Boulder City. Areas outside these zones are quoted before booking.

Payment

Payment is due at the completion of each visit. We accept credit and debit cards (through Square), tap-to-pay and mobile wallets such as Apple Pay and Google Pay, cash, and payment apps such as Zelle. We do not accept personal checks. We do not invoice after the fact for standard visits.

A card must be on file at the time of booking for all appointments. It is used only for the cancellation or no-show fee in Section 4, or if you choose to pay with it. You can still pay for the visit itself by any accepted method.

Price confirmation

We always confirm the price before starting work. If scope changes during a visit, we stop and tell you the new price before continuing. You are never obligated to approve additional work.

4. Scheduling, cancellation & no-shows

Cancellation & rescheduling notice

We require at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Cancellations made inside 24 hours, or a no-show on the day of the appointment, will result in a $35 fee charged to the card on file. This fee is waived once per client for genuine emergencies at our discretion.

Scheduling buffer for long jobs

New phone, tablet, and computer setups are booked as 2-hour calendar blocks, not the standard 90-minute window. Please allow for this when scheduling back-to-back commitments on the day of your appointment.

Arrival window

We provide a confirmed appointment time, not a window. If we are delayed more than 15 minutes we will contact you. If we cannot reach you at the scheduled time and you are not home, this is treated as a no-show.

5. Membership plans

Plans available

  • Tech Membership — $19/month or $199/year. Covers one named household member. Includes unlimited quick questions by text or email, up to 4 live phone or screen-share support sessions per calendar month (approximately 20 minutes each), one proactive monthly tune-up call, and a discounted in-home visit at $93 (instead of $109) once per quarter.
  • Family Plan — $39/month or $399/year. Covers two named members of the same household. All Tech Membership benefits shared between both members, with up to 8 live support sessions per calendar month combined. Discounted in-home visits at $87 each, up to 2 per quarter.

One person per plan

Each Tech Membership covers one named individual. The plan is not transferable to another person and does not extend to other household members, family members, or friends unless upgraded to the Family Plan. If a second person in the same household needs ongoing support, the Family Plan is the right option.

Fair-use cap on live sessions

Live phone and screen-share sessions are subject to a monthly fair-use cap (4 sessions for Tech Membership, 8 combined for the Family Plan). This cap exists so every member gets real, personal attention — not rushed support to keep up with unlimited demand. Sessions do not roll over to the next month.

Once the monthly cap is reached, additional live sessions are available at $12 each. We will notify you the first time you are approaching your limit — no surprise charges.

What “unlimited” means

Quick questions sent by text or email are genuinely unlimited — there is no cap on those. The fair-use limit applies only to live phone calls and screen-share sessions that require us to stop other work to join.

Quarterly in-home visits

The discounted in-home visit resets each calendar quarter (Jan–Mar, Apr–Jun, Jul–Sep, Oct–Dec) and does not roll over. It must be booked like a standard visit and is subject to availability.

Billing & cancellation

Monthly memberships are billed on the same date each month. Annual memberships are billed once per year. To cancel, contact us by phone, text, or email at least 5 days before the next billing date. No refunds are issued for partial months, but your membership benefits remain active through the end of the paid period.

6. Liability waiver & limitation of liability

Please read this section carefully. It describes the limits of our responsibility and what you agree to when booking a visit.

Pre-existing conditions

Just Call Jay is not responsible for hardware failures, data loss, software corruption, or device damage that exists before our visit or that results from a pre-existing condition discovered during the visit. We will tell you if we find a pre-existing problem before doing any work that could affect it.

Data loss

Back up your data before every visit. We strongly recommend that all important photos, documents, and files are backed up before we arrive. Just Call Jay is not responsible for data loss that occurs during a visit, including data lost due to a factory reset, software update, device failure, or any other cause. We do not perform backups on your behalf unless this is the explicitly booked service.

Third-party services & devices

We work with devices, apps, and services made by third parties (Apple, Google, Microsoft, Amazon, etc.). We are not responsible for outages, changes, or failures caused by those third parties, including app updates that break functionality after our visit.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Nevada law, Just Call Jay’s total liability to any client for any claim arising from a visit or membership is limited to the amount paid for that specific visit or the current month’s membership fee — whichever is applicable. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages of any kind.

Your agreement

By booking a visit or subscribing to a membership, you acknowledge that you have read this section, understand its terms, and agree to its limitations as a condition of service.

7. Sensitive information, privacy & text messages

What we see during a visit

In the course of a visit we may view your device screen, app notifications, account usernames, contact lists, photos, and other personal information incidental to the work being done. We treat everything we see as strictly confidential.

Passwords

We never write down, photograph, or store your passwords. If a password is needed during a visit, we will ask you to type it yourself or use your device’s own password manager. We will not ask you to read a password out loud in a way that others could hear it.

Financial & banking accounts

We never access your bank, investment, retirement, or financial accounts on your behalf, for any reason. If a problem involves a financial app, we will guide you through the steps while you remain in control of the device. If anyone — including someone claiming to be from Just Call Jay — asks you to give them access to your financial accounts or to send money, hang up and call us back directly at (702) 330-3753 to verify.

The “hang up and call back” rule

If you ever receive a call, text, or message that claims to be from Just Call Jay and asks you to do something that feels wrong — share a password, send a gift card, install remote software you didn’t ask for, or pay money to an unfamiliar account — hang up immediately and call us directly at (702) 330-3753 to verify. We will never ask for any of those things.

What we collect & how we use it

  • Name, phone number, and address — used to book and complete your visit. Stored in our secure scheduling system.
  • Payment information — processed through Square or Stripe. We do not store full card numbers.
  • Job notes — a brief record of what was fixed, used to give you better service on future visits. Never shared with third parties.
  • Text/email content — messages you send for remote support are read only to help with your question and are not retained beyond 90 days.

What we never do with your information

  • We never sell, rent, or share your personal information with any third party for marketing purposes.
  • We never use your information to contact anyone else in your household without your permission.
  • We never retain passwords, account credentials, or financial information after a visit.
  • No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are never shared with any third party.

Text message consent

When you book, you choose whether we may text you. If you agree, or if you text us first at (702) 330-3753, you consent to receive text messages from Just Call Jay LLC about appointment confirmations and reminders, job-complete summaries and receipts, remote-support replies, membership and billing notices, and an occasional follow-up after a visit (such as a review request or membership offer).

  • Frequency: varies with your appointments and questions.
  • Cost: message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile plan.
  • Opting out: reply STOP at any time to stop texts; reply HELP for help, or call (702) 330-3753. After STOP you will get one confirmation text and no further messages unless you opt back in.
  • Not required: consent to texts is not a condition of any purchase. We can reach you by phone or email instead.
  • Family bookings: if someone else books and pays for your visit (for example, an adult child), they receive the job-complete text and receipt. Both the payer and the person receiving the visit agree to this when booking.

Data requests & deletion

You may request a copy of the information we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, at any time by contacting us at (702) 330-3753 or [email protected]. We will respond within 10 business days.

8. Video & audio recording policy

This section describes our optional use of smart glasses (Meta Ray-Ban or similar) to record in-home visits. Recording is never done without your written consent. This feature is not active at launch — it will be introduced only when the equipment and storage infrastructure are in place, and you will be notified in advance.

Purpose of recording

When active, recordings serve two purposes: (1) mutual accountability — both the client and the technician have an accurate record of what was said and done, and (2) technician training — anonymized clips may be used internally to improve service quality.

Your consent choices

Before any recording begins, you will be asked to sign a separate Recording Consent Addendum with three independent opt-in checkboxes:

  • Box 1: Allow video/audio recording of this visit.
  • Box 2: Allow footage to be reviewed internally for quality and training purposes.
  • Box 3: Allow a clip (edited to remove your address, last name, and on-screen personal data) to be used publicly for marketing.

Each box is independent. You may say yes to Box 1 and no to Boxes 2 and 3. No box checked means no recording that visit, no questions asked.

During a recording

  • We will state aloud at the door: “I have glasses that record visits for quality — you signed off on this, and I can turn them off any time, just say so.”
  • Recording stops immediately if you ask, and the request is noted in the job log.
  • Recording is paused before any password entry, financial account access, or sensitive on-screen information.

Retention & deletion

Footage is retained for 30–90 days unless flagged for a dispute or approved as a training clip. It is stored in a single access-controlled account — not on a personal phone or shared drive. Footage is deleted upon your request.

Nevada law

Nevada is a one-party consent state for audio recording. However, we require written consent from all clients regardless, because you deserve to know and agree before any recording happens in your home.

9. Service area

We serve the following areas of Clark County, Nevada:

  • North Las Vegas, downtown Las Vegas, central and east Las Vegas — no travel fee
  • Summerlin, Spring Valley, Enterprise and west Las Vegas — +$15
  • Henderson, Green Valley, Anthem and Boulder City — +$25
  • All other areas — quoted before booking

Remote support (phone and screen-share) is available to members anywhere in the United States, subject to the membership fair-use cap.

10. Governing law & disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada. Any dispute arising from a visit or membership that cannot be resolved informally will be handled in Clark County, Nevada.

How to resolve a problem

If you are unhappy with any aspect of a visit or charge, please contact us first at (702) 330-3753 or [email protected]. Most issues are resolved within one business day. We want every client to feel the job was done right — if something wasn’t, we will make it right.

Limitation on claims

Any claim relating to a visit must be brought within 90 days of the visit date. Claims brought after 90 days are waived to the extent permitted by Nevada law.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and, for membership subscribers, send a notification by text or email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of our services after that date means you accept the updated terms.

The version of these terms in effect on the date of your booking or billing date governs that transaction.

Questions about these terms? Call or text (702) 330-3753 or email [email protected] and we’ll walk you through anything that isn’t clear.
